Jedi are usually choosen at a young age age and taken away from their parents. Once more, the Jedi flrourish in the current galaxy. They are the strongest hold of power in the universe at this very moment. So Not a lot threatens them. You can start off as a youngling if you wish, which will have its rewards... Or you can start off as a hopeful, and assume you have been at the academy for a while. Hopefuls start off with one rank in force sense, force push, and force pull. This is to represent their training.
Note that, you do not automatically start off with complelte force powers. If you are brand new, (Which is more then likely if you want to get a force power accepted) You start off with no force powers, and (FS) in you name, for force sensitive. No one starts out with complete saber skills either. They start off with one out of three. You can make a Sith or Jedi that already has abilities and the like, but you had better make a good profile, and roleplaying on the server first helps.
